TARA DUNNE

Tara joined 3DJB in May 2025 and enjoys a busy practice in all areas of family law and is particularly known for her impressive oral advocacy, professionalism and dedication as well as her pragmatic and problem-solving approach. 

 

Tara represents clients at all stages of proceedings in contested applications under Part 4 of the Family Law Act 1996 for non-molestation and occupation orders as well as applications for a transfer of tenancy alongside a busy practice in private children law matters. Tara is regularly able to avoid final hearings for her clients where matters can be resolved by consent. 

 

She has appeared at all stages of proceedings and has particular experience where either the parent or the child(ren) have additional and complex needs, including autism and ADHD as well as acting for clients who need the assistance of an interpreter. 

 

Tara has a growing practice in financial remedy proceedings, having represented clients in applications for maintenance pending suit as well as at First Appointment and FDR stage, particularly where clients are vulnerable due to allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour. The focus for Tara at all stages of proceedings is trying to obtain a resolution as soon as possible and where possible to avoid any further emotional or financial stress.
